What Services does Front Door Rentals offer?

Front Door Rentals offers a rental referral business to prospective tenants.  Customers are able search our database of hundreds of homes to find their ideal rental property.  

Front Door Rentals also offers a private, custom, and detailed property analysis for persons relocating to the area.

Front Door Rentals offers free listing to landlords.  We also offer digital photographing and private web page development for your rental property.  Top of Page

How much does your services cost?

It is free to list your rental property with Front Door Rentals.  We offer 4 basic plans for customers looking for a home.  See the about us or sign up page for more detail.  Landlords can also have custom photograph and web page hosting completed for their rental properties.  Top of Page

How can I pay for your services?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or E-Check through our sign up page.  A Paypal account is also accepted.  You may call us at 813-786-9503 to activate your account over the phone.  You can also send check or money order to Front Door Rentals - 1840 South Ridge Drive - Valrico, FL  33594-5547.  A representative will then contact you to set up your account.  Top of Page

Is your payment service secure?

We us Paypal.com as our credit card and check processing.  Paypal is owned by Ebay - a very reputable internet e-commerce center.  Click here for more information on Paypal security and privacy policies.  Top of Page

Is my information kept private?

We do not sell or give information to private third parties.  All information is stored on computers located inside the United States and is physically and digitally secured.  Or payment processing service is reputable and has an excellent security and privacy policy.  Top of Page

Can I upgrade to a premier account after I already signed up for a standard account?

Absolutely!  Just go to the upgrade page.  You are only billed the difference between you two memberships.  Top of Page

Can I renew my account?

Yes!  You are free to repurchase membership at anytime unless your previous account was terminated for violation of our terms of service.  Top of Page

I am not always near a computer.  Can you send me the information instead?

Yes!  The Premier packages offer the option of having searches e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to you.  There is a limit to 10 searches per 30 days.  Top of Page

Is Front Door Rentals Licensed?

Yes.  Front Door Rentals maintains an occupational license in the Hillsborough County, the county of occupancy, as required by state and local laws.  Top of Page

What areas do you cover?

We typically have home is all of Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties and a significant part of Hernando county.  Basically, the bulk of the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Plant City metropolitan areas.  Top of Page

Can I call you with questions?

Most information is easily available on the web site.  You may call with any registration, payment, technical support, or property listing questions you have.  In addition, Premier members may call to order property searches.  Top of Page

How accurate and up-to-date are your listings?

We go through great effort to keep information up-to-date.  in general, the databases are updated AT LEAST daily.  however, our information is still reliant on obtaining accurate information from landlords.  We cannot guarantee the accuracy on any property and it is strongly recommended that customers visit and inspect the properties themselves.  In addition, in a mobile society, properties are often rented very quickly, so homes in our database may not always be available to rent.  tenants also must meet the criteria set forth by each landlord to occupy a house.  Top of Page

Can I share information on properties with my friends?

No.  your membership entitles you to proprietary information available only to you and member of your household.  Additional persons must purchase a separate membership.  Top of Page

I'm not getting any results or enough results from my searches?

Remember, the more detailed you search, the fewer homes will be returned.  Although we have hundreds of homes in our databases, chances are you will not find too many homes in Ruskin, with 5+ bedrooms, 3+ bathrooms, horses allowed, private pool, community pool, 3+ garage, vaulted ceiling, 2 or more stories, handicap accessible, and section 8 allowed!  You get the idea.  Try broadening your search.  A broader search returns more results.  You also need to have realistic searches.  You are not going to find too many 5 bedroom homes for under $300 per month!  Top of Page

How do I physically view a property?

Customers are encouraged to drive-by homes they are interested in, unless otherwise noted on the property page.  If you like the home, you can then contact the name and number given to schedule a viewing or obtain additional information.

You can also have Front Door Rentals complete a detailed analysis and create a private web page for your home by becoming a "Relocation" member.  Top of Page

Does Front Door Rentals schedule property inspection appointments?  Can I apply for a home online?

No.  You are responsible for selecting the home or homes you like and contacting the landlord at the number given to proceed with the rental application process.  Top of Page

What if I can't find a house I like?

As we have hundreds of homes to choose from, this is rare.  Try broadening your searches or lowering your standards.  As the rental market changes constantly and individual needs vary, we cannot guarantee you will find the specific home you are looking for.  Top of Page

I keep getting a "Cookies" error when I try to sign in?

Front Door Rentals users need to have cookies enabled in their browser to view most.  For nearly all members, this should not be a problem.  To verify and/or change you browser to allow cookies, complete the following:

Internet Explorer:

From the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options", then the "Privacy" tab.  Make sure your setting is "Medium High" or lower.  For more information, selection "Help" and search "Cookies".

Netscape:

Make sure your browser is pointed to www.frontdoorrentals.com.  Select "Tools" then "Cookie Manager" and make sure you are allowing cookies.  Top of Page

How do I tell you which properties to complete a detailed analysis for? 

Once you become a relocation member, you can fill out the form online, e-mail us the information, or call us with the specifics.  Top of Page

Do you get the same amount of information for each property?

Not exactly.  As each property and location is different, so will be each analysis.  Some information may not be available in some areas.  Some properties may require more pictures than others.  We try to customize each report to your needs and the property being analyzed.  Top of Page

How long does it take to get the information posted to a web page?

That will vary.  We can say that once we see the property, information will be posted within 24 hours.  Because we are required to meet someone at the house, scheduling is unpredictable.  Top of Page

What if the landlord will not allow access to the home or photos to be taken?

Occasionally a landlord will not allow as detailed an analysis as we do.  This is rare a landlords know anyone who has enough interest in sending someone to look at it usually makes a good tenant.  If we encounter trouble with access or scheduling, you will be notified.  Sometimes the landlord wants to speak with the prospective tenant prior to letting us in the home, so a call from you may help.  If they still refuse, you are free to select another home.  Top of Page

How can I order an analysis of more homes?

Yes!  You can just purchase another standard or premier relocation package at the sign up page.  Top of Page

Can I order an analysis of a home that I didn't find on Front Door Rentals?

YES!  If you find a rental home through your own means, we can still provide the analysis.  You need to be a member, the home needs to be a rental, and the landlord willing to allow us complete the analysis.  Top of Page

How accurate is the information you obtain in the analysis reports?

We take great pride in the details we provide, but it is virtually impossible to be perfect in these reports.  We round mileage distances to the nearest .1 mile, but those may be off slightly depending on routes and construction.  We obtain some information from outside sources, such as government and commercial web sites, so we are at the mercy of their accuracy.  The prospective tenant is still responsible for the home they choose, our analysis should be ONE part used in the decision process, not the only.  Verification should be made with the landlord as that is who your legal document (i.e. the lease) is with.  Top of Page

How long will the information stay posted on my web page?

In general, we keep them posted for up to 6 months.  If you need the information kept up longer, please let us know.  Top of Page

The house I want is pretty remote.  Will you still complete the analysis?

We will complete an analysis for any home in our database.  For other homes, you will need to verify, is you think it is too remote.  In general, any home in the metropolitan area are covered.  Top of Page

Is it really free to advertise my home on your site?

Absolutely!  Just complete the online form in the landlords section or callus at 813-786-9503 to get your home listed.  Top of Page

Do you advertise to get prospective tenants?

YES!  Since the bulk of our sales are from potential tenants, we need to advertise directly to them.  THIS AMOUNTS TO FREE ADVERTISING FOR YOUR HOME, if it is listed with us!  Top of Page

My house is rented.  Why am I still getting calls on it?

Your home may still be listed in our database.  You can send us an e-mail or call us at 813-786-9503 to remove it.  Sometimes, our customers may not call until several days after they complete a search, so you may receive overlapping calls - as with any method of advertising.  Top of Page

If your home rents, be sure to call us and let us know right away to take your home out of our database.  Top of Page

Do you take pictures of homes?

Yes!  We prefer to have at least an outside photograph of your property.  Studies have shown that properties with photographs receive a significantly more interest from tenants.  We can incorporate your existing photos or, for a nominal fee, take them for you.  Top of Page

What do you mean by my own private web page for my rental?

Front Door Rentals can meet you at your rental, take numerous photographs and create a custom web page on our server.  This is a nice compliment for your own advertising.  You direct your inquiries to your web page, where your customers can view your property.  We do all the work, you just send the applicants to the web page.

Imagine the time you will save not having to repeat the same answers over and over.  If people have already seen your web page and call, you know they are truly interested in your property.

In addition, your home is randomly shown on our home page, and throughout the web site as a "Premier" property, garnishing a significant amount more visibility
